Ooo, I could just burst . . . I received a promo postcard from Ann Taylor yesterday, and I am here to say SHE IS BACK -- with a wicked vengeance. As most of my friends know, I am a BR (Banana Republic) aficionado, but I have to share with you that Ann Taylor has completely stepped up her game. Long before BR became what is is today--mostly every middle-class businessman's/woman's go-to-store--Ann Taylor ruled the female's business attire sphere. Looking back, even though I coveted the women who shopped Ann Taylor, I recall her dresses and suits were just ho-hum. Her style lacked oomph, sex, creativity, and the ooo-ahhh factor. Today, I can now very well afford Ann's offerings, however, I wouldn't dare go inside. But that was yesterday.
Now, after looking at some of Ann's latest clothing online, I am restraining myself from going to the mall to grab this gorgeous cream blouse that is begging me to wear her to my next board meeting. I can see it with a fitted black suit, black maroon pumps and my long strand of pearls with ribbons dripping everywhere. (See my pick for a sexy business casual Friday outfit on one of Ann's models. Do yourself a favor and give Ms. Ann Taylor a second glimpse. I promise you, you will think you've just walked into BR or Saks.
